Vision Statement
The Jefferson Highway Oklahoma Association envisions a vibrant corridor where travelers on the modern road connect with the rich history of the Jefferson Highway. We see the Jefferson Highway not just as asphalt, but as a testament to the enduring spirit of Oklahoma. We strive to be a premier travel destination, fostering economic growth and cultural appreciation by preserving the legacy of the “Pines to Palms” highway and the stories it holds.
Towards this vision, we will…
- Increase awareness of the Jefferson Highway through Oklahoma,
- Advance research into historical Jefferson Highway routes, planning, and decision makings through Oklahoma,
- Collect historical media, ephemera, and other items of antiquity relating to the Jefferson Highway through Oklahoma, and
- Promote tourism along the Jefferson Highway through Oklahoma.
Our parent organization, Jefferson Highway Association, is a non-profit organization that aims to preserve, promote and enhance the historic Jefferson Highway auto trail, which runs from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Winnipeg, Canada.
